Re: carb coughing???
Normal ,don't worry you'll get used to it
Re: carb coughing???
Mine does it too, there's two options.
1) Ignore it.
2) Keep the revs high so it doesn't happen

Re: carb coughing???
Proper jetting, synced carbs, no exhaust air leaks, PAIR gone.. ...and the carb fart is gone as well.
There is no need to live with it.

I'm starting to think you know nothing about these bikes!
Why ask... sometime you just go to do it and find out?

Re: carb coughing???
Mine used to do it all the time and would cut out as well, set the tps sensor and sync the carbs made a world of difference, it still does it occasionally bit no longer cuts out,it's probably running a sniff lean bit if I remember correctly you need a weird looking gizmo to adjust the mixture with the carbs on the bike
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most

Explain yourself young man.Yep run it a little rich and fit a +4 ignition advance and a fuel pump

A tune up is what's needed. Make sure your timing and valve clearances are all good to start with or skip that bit (but better to check first

These are the biggest carbs you will find on a production bike and are sensitive to small changes!! Things like carb balancing make a difference. You may want to fit a front vaccum take off for ease of carb syncing.

Re: carb coughing???
I don't . The only time I tuned to cough out was when I fitted standard carbs and cans .gl_s_r wrote:That told you Lloydie...E.Marquez wrote:Proper jetting, synced carbs, no exhaust air leaks, PAIR gone.. ...and the carb fart is gone as well.

From what I've read and done there's many old wife's tales on how to get not to do it .cybercarl wrote:Explain yourself young man.Yep run it a little rich and fit a +4 ignition advance and a fuel pump![]()

Some work some don't even with the carbs set up perfect it still did it now and then .
Yes cleaning balancing the carbs and setting the tps helps as dose a full service but it will still happen now and then .
If you've managed to stop it from doing it great
Or I'm just talking nonsense again
