Which type is it Lee? Race or Road?

I think road mate. I've gone to the BMC site, and they are visually identical, and have the same number, 144-04. This one doesnt say race on it, so I'd assume its a road ??

Does it have the letter R on it, as I believe that means race.

No, just BMC 144-04.

It has 'Made in Italy though'. What does that mean ??

The only actual difference is the filter panel material. The main body is the same part, so I don't know if they would bother to mark the difference or not. Looks exactly like a K&N, but red.
