Re: Hello From India

Re: Hello From India
Basically the front one is likely to fail (corrosion on the spring due to flawed oil supply) this will result in a slack timing chain, jumped sprocket, valve into piston interface and a lot of expense/heartache.
Have a search through the workshop section on here for instruction on how to either replace with manuals or do a mod which prevents damage if the spring fails, called the "stopper mod".
Just do one or the other I would hate to read you have suffered a failure through lack of preventative maintenance.
Good luck.

what was the difference between restricted and non-restricted VTR, how many BHP was the difference.
what is the actual BHP number for a 97 VTr, am getting different numbers on google
How many horses would go up after upgrading the exhaust and filters ?
Re: Hello From India
Varies from country to country whether there is restriction or not.what was the difference between restricted and non-restricted VTR, how many BHP was the difference.
Same as above really and to add to that every bike will be slightly different. You looking to get between 100 and 110bhp depending on the dyno.what is the actual BHP number for a 97 VTr, am getting different numbers on google
It's not the horses you want to worry about...it's the cows in the road. How many horses would go up after upgrading the exhaust and filters

another confusion i had was the decal in the tank and in the side panels.
pre 2000 model's had firestorm decal on the tank and post 2000 had over the panels, but mine has none anywhere
