Finally Got my Leg over

Post by Pete.L »

Whilst you guys & girls were out having a jolly I took myself off to the local bike shop to console myself. There I am , sat happy as a pig in sh!t, bouncing up and down on a brand new SP2 (fastest way I know to get the sales guy over).
Desperatley dejected and all alone I'm sat on this puppy thinking this girl is mine and as soon as it's broken in I gunna screw you something wicked  Just as I'd antisipated a worried little salesman came scurring over and asks if I need any help. Sure, I said. I've got a V reg firestorm in good nick and I'm looking to up grade. With that the guy shakes his head and says "Oh were not taking in any trade in's" and walks off 8O 8O 8O
Whats that all about???
No talk about selling the bike privately or taking up a lone to make up the difference he just buggered off!
I was so shocked I walked out.
So my question is How do you buy a Bike???

Don't go to a small shop. Go to a Honda main dealer likle i did. They gave me 2400 for my storm (not bad for a 99 with 14000) and i paid an extra 2000 for my sp-1. They didn't even ride mine, just looked at it and paid up!!

Good luck!

I'm scared, i mean properly scared. I rode it back from High Wycombe in rush hour 8O . You very quickly realise just how strange the steering is. The front end wobbles a lot when you are not used to it. The suspension is rock hard and the seat might as well be made of wood. Of course none of that makes the slightest difference to me. The power is a lot like the firestorm up to about 5 grand then it goes mental. You actually have to recalibrate your brain when you ride it.

The fuel consumption is crap but i'm used to that  When you go for a thrash you feel like a god. The thing is just so damn fast. It corners fast and you find yourself going into corners a lot faster than even something as well handling as my Gixxer 600.

I love it, i love it, i love it!

But my butt doesn't................. or my wrists................ or my wallet.

Aww to hell with it, its awesome and i feel fulfilled now. Got some goodies coming as well, PC3, undertray and lights and indicators. Will post a piccie when it is done!

Kaz
Exactly the same idea as what was going through my mind

Mellis
Glad to hear it mate  it gives me something to look forward to. (Mrs says my brain needs more than recalibrating though :? )
