Nice Red One

Post by Penguin »

Met Gecko in Hawes, North Yorkshire. So not really a was it you cos we know as we spoke. Neither of us have met before as this was a random thing, but we are both members of this excellent forum. Lovely lady biker - well met! Also this is my first post as I've not been brave enough before. Looking forward to meeting up with other members.

Very nice to meet you too Penguin. What a great day it was today for a ride out, eh? Dry roads and clear blue skys over the A684. Fantastic.

It looked like you were headed off for Sedbergh ( I pulled in for petrol before leaving). I also went along that direction, planning to go to Kirby Lonsdale but Iended up at Kirby Stephen. LOL :D :D

Still, its a very nice village but they do seem to have a lot of problems with them Red Squirels (you see all the warning signs?!?!)

Hope you get the chance to join one of the Storm Ride outs.

Red Squirels
Please don't run them over. Look after them squirrels. I remember seeing them as a kid here in London, used to feed them out of my hand. There's none down here now :(

Welcome to the forum Penguin.

Red squirels? It's the sheep you need to watch out for........ Overtaking a van just up from Hawes and had to haul up sharpish for a woolly jaywalker. None of these in London either! Mind you, we don't have to cope with your buses and black cabs. Beautiful views across Nidderdale, Ribble head on through Ingleton and back home to Skipton. What a great day to be out, I chose the right week for leave this time!

Silver is the colour to have when you can't afford a BMW, Audi or Merc. Or of course if you prefer 2 wheels. The colour (and speed) of starlight
