ive read that they can cause vibrations and other problems.
from what i understand the wave pattern is for cooling purposes but ive also had people tell me it provides a dampening effect on braking, giving good feel at the lever.
thinking about putting one at least on the rear as mine needs replacing anyway... and possibly the front at some point. just wondering what people thought of them, and if they are worth the extra bucks?
plus they look so damn cool!

I changed my standard ones due to them warping over time i put some wavy ones on so far it doesnt feel any different to the standard ones.
I have some ebc prolite ones on my track bike with braided hoses and brembo master cylinder with the standard calipers thats a different story it stops super quick amazing difference then my road bike with the wavy discs
iv had them on bikes before. they look nice but really thats all they do. wave rotors came from the enduro offroad world. they were made to clean muck of the pads thats all but they look pretty.

+1
They are only on road bikes because they look bling, no proper race team would use them as they don't give the same solid consistent brake feel that a solid round rotor does, from my research into them a while ago the only plus they have over the standard type is a pad cleaning action
Doubt on a road bike on the public roads that any of us would be able to tell the difference between wave and normal pattern tho unless of course you was fitting bigger rotors + better pads + lines + caliper upgrade etc
I had wavey type 330mm on my storm this felt better than the OE 330mm ones on the RR3 at the time but i suspect this was only due to the fact the blade was still on old spongy lines where mine had new HEL lines and fluid

if your having trouble with to much heat in your discs in your road bike try cleaning out the caliper pistons as they may be binding on the disc slightly which wont give the disc any relief
i had this happen on the rear on the gixxer and suspect it was what had warped the discs at the front, when i took the caliper apart it was clear looking at the pistons why they couldn't return properly
