Dear All,
I've removed the Arrows racing exhaust and am going to replace them with the original Honda silencers (local cops did not like the sound!!). I've got a pair of originals from Ebay and need advice on the fitting. the mounting tabs (2 of them) can fit either inboard or outboard of the mounting points.
Can someone have a look on their bike and tell me whether the mounting is inboard or outboard for:-
1. Rear mounting point i.e. at the pillion hanger mounting tab inboard or outboard?
2. Frong mounting at the front footrest position tab inboard or outboard?
thanks guys.

Original Silencer Mounting position
Re: Original Silencer Mounting position
Hi Kit,
Both go on the inside (inboard) of the brackets, although the rear two will fit on the outside (outboard) of the rear foot rest hangers, but obviously the cans will stick out further.
Chris.

Re: Original Silencer Mounting position
Thanks mate!
That's what I thought and how i fitted the OEM silencers.
However, when i looked through the Factory Workshop Manual, it got me confused and looked like the silencers were fitted inboard for the front and outboard for the rear.

Re: Original Silencer Mounting position
If it helps I mounted mine inboard front and rear. Its only about an inch difference but it makes for a cleaner, less of a 70's look if you know what I mean. Its also its how its pictured in the Haynes manual if you look at the pictures closely in the exhaust section.
Cheers, Phil
