Re: Newbie
good morning and welcome to the forum, put your location with your details, that way we know where you are if you need help, also we can make you aware of any local meets....

HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!
Re: Newbie
Thought you might be Rlong sooner or later
(someone had to).
Good to meet you yesterday, remember you can't post PM's (personal Messages) until you have 50 posts on the forum.
I'll let you know when I have the cct's ready to swap in for you.
(I did the valve clearances yesterday
)
Re your slow starting, the more I think about it the more I want to pull the starter motor apart and check that the bolt is properly isolated through the casing.
Try swapping the RR and metering, but I don't think it's either battery or RR, although a charge rate of 13-13,3 volts isn't as high as I'd like to see.
And it's blue, before anyone asks

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Thanks for the welcome people, it's a standard vtr and I'm based in Essex . Had problems since owning it with starting and sluggish performance. Until meeting Tony yesterday. It's running way better now and I understand why people love them, Tony discovered that the front cylinder had be set 180deg out. Next job manual ccts and sort out this starting problem. Learned a lot yesterday, every day is a school day thx Tony.

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
