Morning all

Post by youngy »

Hello there

Potential new owner here. Been on bikes forever, currently on a CBR600RR and wanting something less frantic.

Had a number of TRX850s in the past and now got my eye on a nice looking low mileage VTR. My only concern is the reports of the front forks. What does it cost to get these "fixed"? Does it really need doing?

cheers

Welcome aboard buddy

Don't worry about the forks

A new set of springs sorts it out, that's if they are a problem for you in the first place

Loads of people ride the storm and it never bothers them

Cct's and regulator are the main priority to get sorted

Welcome to the club, forks can be sorted for £100 if you just do spring and oil, or you can go to roger for some internal modifications or you can fit forks off another bike if you want to.

is that the same youngy as on lincsrideouts? I too had a frantic gsxr600 which was great for short blats but on longer rides was a pain. I rode my step brothers storm and i was hooked, best thing i did was get a storm done a few mods to get it as i want it but thats part of the fun.

+3 from me on Getting those forks sorted by Roger Ditchfield. One of the best mod's for your money, it will transform the bike. If you don't live nearby you can post the forks to him, he doesn't normally take very long to do the work and have them on their way back to you. As for cost I know Roger has kept the price down for VTR enthusiasts, but best email him for an up to date price. http://www.revolutionuk.co.uk

Welcome aboard

Chris.
