Firsetorm Clocks / Gauges
Evening all,
I am now looking for some original clocks as I am fed up of trying to get the Sp1 dash working properly.
Thanks.

Re: Firsetorm Clocks / Gauges
What's the issue with the SP clocks. Is it the rev counter or speedo?

What you after for the sp dash ?
Re: Firsetorm Clocks / Gauges
It is the Rev counter and the temperature, I know I can change the sensor for the temp but the rev counter is really annoying!cybercarl wrote:What's the issue with the SP clocks. Is it the rev counter or speedo?

Re: Firsetorm Clocks / Gauges
I have some CBR clocks to fit and this is what concerns me. I'm not worried about the numbers placement and redline being different as this can be sorted with an overlay or new plastic face plate being made, but it has to work. Speedo can be fixed with a speedo heeler but as longs as the revs works in conjunction with the speedo
I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth all the hassle.

Will later storm digital clocks fit an early model storm ok?
If not what are the issues?

Re: Firsetorm Clocks / Gauges
you'd have to sort out a late model temp sender, because its digital, as it the fuel level indicator.Duffy1964 wrote:Will later storm digital clocks fit an early model storm ok?

HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!
Re: Firsetorm Clocks / Gauges
They shouldn't be an issue if you have a later tank with float and the later temp sender unit. The plugs on the back of the clocks may be slightly different but that's not much of an issue and IIRC there's a few extra wires to do with the HISS that can just get blanked off. Certainly a lot easier than clocks from another bike because the rev counter and speedo will be in the same range.

Re: Firsetorm Clocks / Gauges
It is pretty frustrating that I can't get the rev counter to work as the sp1 clocks are perfect for the job, the rev counter goes up and down when you start it but that's it! I think it's because the sp1 gets its single from the ecumenical, no-one has got it to work with firestorm that I know!cybercarl wrote:I have some CBR clocks to fit and this is what concerns me. It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
