well it went like this, got a little lost, then we find the A3, I said to carl, my fuel lights just started to flas so i'll need to stop pretty soonish, 2 miles down the A3 theres a petrol station, me being an idiot thinks, it's a bit soon, they'll be another one in 5 to 10 miles. so being a super idiot, I carry on down the road doing erm the speed limit officer.....
and in the outside lane the bike starts to cough and splutter.....
so I pull onto the hard shoulder and in 3rd or 4th gear at very low revs ride along to the next exit, we managed to find an esso fairly quickly, I put just under 17ltrs in, I think because the throttle had been wide open at speed, it start to struggle with fuel starvation, hell the faster I get to a petrol station the better....
from now on, the moment the gauge starts to flash i'll fill up at the first petrol station I see...... :biggrin
it flashes
I know i got nearly 12 litre in brimming it from last bar
Oh the luxury :biggrin 22 Ltr tank

Pick up the forks, my brother, all our gear, race back to Lloyds, fit new steering head bearings, New front wheel bearings, change the oil in the new forks, fit them and test ride it before going to bed for an early start.

So much that could go wrong. Hopefully it will all go together well and be fine. But I shall update Friday night.

Now if this isn't dedication I don't know what is
You're having some bloody bad luck at the mo ck :(
No your right I'm not :( but fingers crossed after this it will be fine. Had to spend enough on it already :( ah well it happens. It will be good one day. Sooner rather than later I hope.

My waterproofs were tested on the M4 the other day and they were found wanting so I'll mostly be shopping for Nikwax this weekend.

Waterproofs I have are made by Held and came from Getgeared.co.uk. Had not problems with them so far, kept me dry on the ride back from Wales with Jamie last year, also have their sports bike boot waterproof covers.

Better than a pushbike throw over waterproof!!!

Thats OK, my front is close to the wear limits on the right hand shoulder, so I wont be pitching it over to hard on wet roundabouts either

if we plan to do the faster main road route to cambridge, what time you want to set off? it is still going to be top side of 3hrs so about 7.00?

also do we meet at a different petrol station as that one is heading wrong way now?
are we still picking up anyone on route?
