It was originally going on my TRX850, but that was about 4 bikes ago!
I drilled and tapped the oil gallery plug behind the starter, put the fittings in, bloody tight fit, had to use a dremel on the fitting to be able to get the starter back in.
Drilled a small hole in the instrument housing, fitted a grommet to stop kinking and chaffing, ran the hose through and cable tied it for safety to some wiring and the oil cooler pipe.
Look closely in the pictures and you will see it.
I have not used a bracket to mount the gauge as it fits snugly between the screen and instrument housing, but I did put some double sided tape on the gauge where it meets the housing and screen.
Snug as a bug and doesn't move.
So far no leaks, but I think I will buy some better oil line, maybe some with a sleeve over it for batter longevity and less chance of chaffing and leaks.
Gauge shows 40 LB at idle and increases with revs.
So far no leaks.
Why did I do this? Because I could and is am running out of things I can do!
Here are some pics of the work.
I like it, what do you think?

Now if only I could get a white tachometer face I would be happy with the instruments.

P.S No wheels bins in these pics.
