Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Got the bike out today for the first time in 2 weeks. Went around some local roads for what ended up being 115mile route. Found myself getting the front wheel rather high over a hump back bridge(bricked myself) and then went back for more
Also sprung a small engine oil leak which started to spit oil from the belly pan to the back tyre so I used it as an excuse to buy new oil and filter ready for tomorrow as I have to drain the oil to remove the oil pressure switch.
While I'm at it I shall also track down the small oil leak on the front cylinder which I think is a rocker gasket and see if I can sort that too. Oh and also try to sort the rear brake too. Busy day tomorrow

Fitted the Flo-Commander into the enlargened airbox, sorted out how to get the carbs in and out-made a flap section at the rear.
There's now no way to get at the clamps holding the carb rubbers, so I have removed the clamps and made two small loops in the airbox floor, and I can use cable ties to hold the carbs in place.
All I need to do now is mount the choke cable and throttle cables, and fit it onto my bike.
That's a game for tomorrow.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Blaaasted it back from Bristol via Monmouth, Forest of Dean, Gloucester and then up the A46 all the way to Rugby.. Brilliant ride..
Tested out my brand new Bose QC 20's on the way... You know that really annoying wind noise once you start picking up speed?
I don't!
Costing £50 a month for like 4 months... And honestly, they are worth every penny. Essentially no wind noise, could still pay attention to my surroundings though (thanks to the titled 'aware mode') and I had my music on the lowest setting the phone would allow and it was still coming through above everything.. The quality of said music is incredible too

I finally finished the H U G E airbox, plus all of the seals, glands, mounting points, seals, glass fibre etc. Mountings for Flo Commander fitted.
I can't be arsed to fit it now...
The bike's running well as it is, but when I fit this it will undoubtedly Fup the fuelling, and I really don't fancy another round of re-jetting just yet.
Next weekend will be my birthday weekend and I'm going to Brands for the weekend after fitting a chain for a forum member Sat AM so it ain't happening then.
Perhaps weekend after.
But then, coming soon to a fantasy near you.....
High Comps: in stock
Reground cams: In Stock
Shims to suit above: in Stock
Rings: in stock
Hone: in stock
big end bolts: On order.
Soon..........soon come.....
(google "soon come" Peter Tosh, or ask the wife)
