Yeah yeah, ok I should have known you'd get it  stubbies it is :D I took 15cm off the length, sounds absolutely amazing and it's cured the slight hesitation around 4 grand at a neutral throttle

Well, not today, but yesterday I got around to re-doing the alternator wires that burnt out on Sunday, leaving me stranded at a petrol station just south of Loch Lomond.
Had to endure an hour of sitting on the grass in the sun, watching groups and groups of bikes blasting up the road having fun.

Anyways, while I had the tools out, I decided it was about time I got the renthals fitted.

Flippin eck, what a difference that made!! Should have done it a long long time ago!! It's brilliant!!

Will knock up some pictures once I've tidied up the wires and finished trimming the fairing..

Got my head gasket today.. Now I have mixed feelings.. On the one hand.. I want to leave the UK and put my bike back together but I also want to stay forever and ever in this magical place..

Decisions decisions :P

Stripped it down a bit, to inspect cam chain tension & valve clearances....

The rear cylinder's valve clearances seem bang on in the middle of the tolerances.

HOWEVER...

The front cylinder, intake valves are 0.13.5mm & the exhaust valves are 0.27mm!

The tolerances are meant to be between 0.13 - 0.19mm intake & 0.28 - 0.34mm exhaust.

I was hoping to go to Ck stag do this weekend coming, anyone know a handy guy for installing shims????

I'm not sure I can do it :-(

My baby is in bits about the bad news...

There easy to do jamie. Me and Lloyd managed them  just remove the cam cover, remove the can, change the shin for a different size, refit and 're measure. The hardest part is getting the right size first time

Hmm ok, I'll have a good read up on shim fitting then

My insurance is due on Tues & I'd scraped just enough together for ins and stag do :(

I've got a few goodies to sell, but that's never a quick process!

Hopefully you can make it. If not then don't worry to much. It'll probably rain anyway

Depends what goodies you've got, you never know.
