Re: steering damper
some say they do and some say they don't..
do you ride like a utter end of a bell or a old man?
Do you wheelie or not?
Do you like bling bling stuff?
I use a ohline side mount damper because it was cheap! and looks cool as feck...
i also have landed couple of wheelies on the p1ss and that's helped me out from being no more thumperslaw. I only run mine on three to four clicks and that takes the edge off it. I also run a 5mm spacer on the rear and dropped the forks in the yokes.
o i also ride like a utter end of a bell
Hope this helps

some say i ride like a tit, don`t know what they mean
no not really, i have not been riding long, but not like an old man though, i think i accelerate hard and i do get the back wheel locking up under engine compression
just sometimes when overtaking something, on hard acceleration front starts to shake or hit a bump in the road steering starts to shake

Re: steering damper
If you can afford one then i'd go for it. Sprint ones are worth the money but stay away from cheap sh1t ones tho!

Re: steering damper
I have one on the track bike as you do get a bit of wobble powering out corners when the front lifts slightly so i have an ohlins on which helps.
My road bike doesnt have one though it has had a wobble once or twice but i was being a b** e** at the time

Re: steering damper
If your getting a bit of wobble I would start looking at the steering head bearings.

just had m.o.t
and a mate look at them before the m.o.t and they are fine
Re: steering damper
like thumper I had one available so didn't spend much to get it fitted, and with the std set up it isn't needed.
But once you start raising the back of the bike to steepen the steering angle, and then fit higher bars, it becomes a vital part of the setup.
riding fast on bumpy roads it more than pays for its self now, especially on the entry to corners and cresting a small rise in the road when on full throttle.
but I too ride like a bell end [although I could be described as an old man]
