Stripped the forks off kermit to have a look see at the insides and all looks good .
But to rule them out I thought if pop in the internals from my spare forks .
The one on the left is from the spare set that adyf was running and the one on the right is standard

Image

It looks like the spare one has been messed with anyone know who by and why ? Adyf ?

Fixed a broken rear light connector that had snapped. I then out the fairing lower back on the bike as that's been off a while now. I then went and picked up the following bargain.

Brand New and unused £35 of the bay.....bargain :) I took a pun on it though as it was badly listed as for a VTR1000 without specifying if it was for the Storm or SP. It's for a Storm all standard gearing. I did want to go two up on the rear but I may just put this on now as my current chain is bad....dangerously bad.

I've come to the conclusion that kermit is a jealous fecker because I was starting piggy and not paying attention to the frog as I can't find anything wrong with the front end !.

So today I rebuilt the forks with the modded Internals and set the air gap to 110mm with 10w oil .
I then removed the front wheel bearings as one was starting to go notchy (I'll get some tomorrow and refit them)
Then I removed the head bearings and yokes .
The yokes I've fitted are from a 06 blade and have 10mm less off set than standard storms yokes and 5mm less than 929/954 yokes .
Now for this I had to move the rads back 15mm and shave a little from the lock stops to get the steering lock on .
The down side to these yokes is with my bars I have no room to adjust the forks so I set them up as they were before Image
I'll tax it Friday and hope the knocking has gone .

P38 yum I can smell it from here.

Well researching Dunlops and starting reading up on the Q3's They have Carbon fibre in them :erection: Anyway, couldn't find any in the UK. After a bit more research it's looking like they are called Dunlop Sportsmarts over here :confused I say looking like I'm not entirely sure, it's bloody confusing and doing my head in. Why do I have to sift through marketing crap, all I want to know is whether it's touring, full race, road/touring and whether more sport orientated or touring orientated. I want something sporty, quick warm up, good in the wet and dry and hard wearing. It's basically a compromise between soft sporty and hard wearing touring. Bloody nightmare. At this rate I'll just shove a wombles Maxxi on it

Have you got all the brackets Watty? I'm guessing it's going to take some time paint.

Finished porting the heads and lapped all the valves in , only one valve gave a little trouble and I had to use the course paste to get it started .
Just need to clean them now before assembly

Another little dyno run this AM, to establish what difference the high comp pistons make.
