TT 2015 in a Van?

3 of us though we make make the trip next year in my Vito, fits 2 bikes, maybe 3 but booking a ferry seems a problem. I had no idea how hard it was to get on a ferry on a bike let alone a van!

Any suggestions?

Everyone will have put deposits on the ferry for next year mate! For this years tt we booked as soon as we came back 2013 , that's the norm. Your best bet is to wait until balances are due in February 2015 when lots of people realise they can't afford to go so then places become available, but it ain't easy . It's time Steam Packet were kicked into touch with their prices and boat availability!

Yeah I booked my 2015 ferry as soon as this years tt had finished as watty says should be able to pick up a cancelation early next year also got my campsite booked at the beginning of august

I used to live in Morecambe so aware of the reputation Steam Packet have Not fair, but pretty much what we consumers are used to

Didn't Top Gear have a bike that converted to a jet ski I prefer the first boat though it may be classed more as a ship. The mooring fees may be an issue.

+1 on that, we did the same, booked straight away, you may be lucky because a lot of people, and some don't realise it yet, have booked the wrong week, the 2015 TT is a week later than normal so quite a lot of tickets might become available at the pay up time in February as mentioned by Watty.

We've not planned to go next year mate, but that doesn't mean we won't end up there! If we do I'd love to meet up again

Sounds interesting but its the cost involved v value for money. Point taken tho, will look at costs
