No you can still use the clutch if you want, short shifting just means you change up a bit to early, before you have maxed out the earlier gear. Just means you get the gear change done sooner so your toe is out of the way and you don't unsettle the bike in the middle of the bend

Ah right. I'd learnt to do that after my little toe catcher
still found myself entering 5th coming down the straight and staying in it round gerrards

Learning from the day
Wheels - when the front wheel stops turning, stop braking - preferably before
Balls - feet balls on pegs
Balls - bigger needed around Gerrards
All in all pretty chuffed though. Out of the 30 or so in the group there were only a couple of others that were anywhere near the pace of us.

That's very true there were only 3 or 4 going around at the same pace as us

It was a bit tricky overtaking at times as you always got a groups of slow riders together going 4 wide into Gerard's and I had to take the widest of lines to get past while hoping they didn't low side it

See my edited first post for how to edit the pictures to get correct brightness if anyone's interested

Re: Mallory Park Photos 25th Aug 14
That's easy. Open Photoshop and apply +1 or 2 stops with the exposure filter.
Well done YMV you done a good job there.
