Ah you rekon not to worry then, its just unbalanced carbs making the engine throw a wobbly?
I'll have to dig out the old carb tuner and have a fiddle.
Can I do it with the tank and everything on or does it all need to come off and rig up a redneck fuel tank?
Anyone in Norfolk area that can help?

If you read on here it will tell you how to balance the carbs and Carl will put the link up no doubt
Re: Anyone in Norfolk area that can help?
As you've done the valve clearances the carbs should be checked for balance and adjusted, I'm not saying that's what's causing the noise but unbalanced carbs will exaggerate any engine noise that you might not normally notice, If this doesn't work then you need to determine which part of the engine the noise is coming from, probably a cylinder head so front or rear, it may be that the tensioner needs a slight adjustment, either that or you left a spanner in there
