Started to fit up the race seat unit

Can't get it any higher or more angled with the standard sub frame and I can't be arsed making a new one this winter .
I want it to be quick release so I'm thinking about chopping up a tatty old seat base and using that attached to the inside of the race seat . This should still keep it light but strong too .

I also want it to be quick and easy to swap back to road fairings and not worry about relocating the electrics so I plan on mounting them all on the inside of the sub frame in a little box out the way

looking good mate, that's about the same angle as my setup. Don't forget you'll have 20 - 30mm of stiff foam pad on top which will raise your ass a bit.

I think it's possible to go TOO high with the seat and you loose that connection with the bike.

I still want to be "sat in the bike" and not on it .
At the moment the seat pan is 15mm lower than a standard seat so if I use 30mm seAt foam it should be better and I'll have to lean it more before I get my knee down

Nothing !!

But the BM passed its MOT and it only cost 30 quid @ Kwik Fit. Only neede a Number plate bulb , Happy Days !!

Which means more time and money on the Veetwin !!

He doesn't need any seat padding. He has it built in

Rode it.... Parked it.... Then it didn't start... Charged the battery... Checked the starter..
Got a bus... With tears in my eyes.. 3 days of vtr ownership and already making me wonder should I have got a blade?!?!? Remind me of why I love big twins

I was thinking that it looks a bit big but it should look smaller when he sits on it.

New bike ownership niggles to sort out, that's all. You would have that with any bike.

Check the starter motor cable connection for corrosion and here's a link for checking over the charging system.
