l/h switch gear.

must be off a low milage or newer vtr, mine is wombles and as its a common fault i gather that any vtr replacement will eventualy fail too.

indicators wombles up, sprayed cleaner in ect...... looks like I Will damage it if completely strip it, I would prefer a replacement and then take the faulty one apart.

What is it that goes wrong with the l/h switch
Overuse I think and the contacts wear eventually. It don't help when people spray Wd40 etc in them as quick fix. This basically builds up and congeals and acts as somewhere for bits of dirt and grime to stick to, which then adds to the wear and tear. It's best to strip them down and give them a proper clean and use a dielectric grease which is designed for the purpose. Vaseline would do, but don't pack it out with grease, only use what is necessary.

i have one u can have
its missing high beam flash button but its working order free if you cover postage
