what have you done to your "bike" today

Swapped the valve shims and re-measured, they're all spot on or very close now so I'm happy with that. Sat the frame back in place ready to be tightened up properly, then its officially on the rebuild! Still got to rebuild brakes, clean carbs, send forks off etc etc, but it's a start, and I'm loving the black frame already

Looking good, what you really need is a nice set of bling oil lines to set it off...

Yeh don't forget the Lloydie lube and threadlock where needs be, and make sure your get the wiring loom positioned correctly before tightening all the mounting bolts fully especially the where it passes the rear cylinder. Looks good mate.

Tried to fit the ZX6R shock to the TRX - it's a no0go. The top of the 6R shock catches the reg/rec, and if I move that it hits the battery box, I could take off the couple of mm from the batt box, but then I'd need to rehouse the reg/rec.........................really don't want to spend the money on a brand new £300 YSS when the MT-03 is being delivered in 12 days!!

Done a bit more on the engine today .
It's nearly done Woohoo .
Just need some bolts and the shins and a clutch gasket to come then I can do the stopper mod and it'll be ready for fluids and a test fire (once I've build it in a spare frame to bench test it ) just hope it runs !!!

lloydie: what will be your initial jetting? I have in mind 180 + 182

+1 on that. Take it easy on initial start up and make sure you lube the top end up and turn the engine over by hand a few times before hitting the start button.

I was thinking the same as I have the hrc jet kit to play with too :-)
I'll be turning over till the oil light go's out then I'll add some fuel and wait for it to explode !!
Once I know it runs and I can trust it a little I'll fit it and get it on the road for a tank full then change the oil and filter then again after 500 more miles but I might as well fit it two weeks before we head to devon and use that weekend to run it in as it'll be enough miles to do it

sadly nothing has been done to my bike, but I did visit the C-Spanner, dropped off some wheels, I was treated to a cuppa coffee and I then ate his mum's muffin.......

Got it looking a bit more bike shaped with subframes, swingarm and loosely positioned wiring.



Also rebuilt and bled through the rear brake with new pads and sexy HEL lines

I painted my new 2nd hand oil lines with high temperature matt black spray paint.

I wonder if it will be up to the job or just blister off ? ?
