old starter motor

Post by agentpineapple »

i'm in the middle of refurbing my old starter motor, and I need a few parts from a donor starter motor, has anyone got one knocking around, it doesn't need to be in working order, maybe one with a seized nut and bolt (main power lead), i'm willing to pay postage of course, and beer tokens if needs be....

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

thanks for the link wicky, but i'm after a knackered one, as i'm tinkering, i'm enjoying the taking things apart and making them work again, I know it's a long shot that some will have one, as they most likely went in the bin after being replaced....

I have an old one from a scrap yard that you could have but it works just fine. Its a bit rusty but it starts the bike first time every time.

I accidently bought a brand new one at the same time so I don't really need the old one anymore. Could post it down to you if you like, but I just saw that you want the challenge of a broken one to fix, lol I could take a hammer to it first. :D :D

Here we go again....
You can't say "Tinker" any more, Marty.
In the Seventies it changed to "Gypsy", but now it's "Person Of No Confirmed Environment".
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
