Now I'm starting to think one of them could have been Mac.
Any of them sporting any vermin and carrying a long list on incomprehensible names?

Usually I have a look that is rather off putting. A kid asked my son once, after seeing me, if I was mean. I guess I was having a really good moment with my barbeque because I must have looked approachable. I am not usually a mark for panhandlers. I hate the stories they spin about how they just need to get somewhere to be with their families. The truth is they need another bottle of Mad Dog wine. What will get me is if they say "I am hungry." If any man is hungry I will feed them to the best of my ability.

I was thinking the same thing. I have been known to buy a vagabond the odd cup of coffee but I never give them money. I even gave one local homeless guy a Christmas dinner many years back when I had a heart.

earlier this winter on a bitterly cold night, I filled up with diesel and as usual there's a beggar sitting outside, they take it in shifts, so there's always one there....
it was so cold I offered to buy him a cup of coffee, his reply was, i'll have an extra large vanilla latte...... :eek2
talk about expensive tastes......
it was that cold that I had to buy it for him, he'd have ferk all if he'd asked for some biscuits with it......

It is known as MD 20/20. I have tried it back in my college drinking days along with variants such as Nighttrain and Thunderbird. I remember it tasted like grape juice laced with alcohol. The "MD" stands for Mogen David, and is affectionately called "Mad Dog 20/20" I am sure the UK has their equivalent brands of, elbow preferred, rot-gut hooch.
