Fitting exhaust

Post by ChrisC »

I.ve been doing the shock absorber link bearings and for some reason the bloody exhaust pipes refuse to go back on properly, the main problem seems to be the alignment of the joint between the left hand silencer and the link pipe...I have loosened every thing off tried slightly swivelling the rear link pipe .I have done this job loads of times before without a problem....am I forgetting something?

You might have squashed up the edge of the gasket so it's rolled over and stopping the link from pushing down on further.
