The good news is that I managed to finally find the source of the coolant leak on my bike.

The bad news is that it's a crack water jacket behind the front head....

It'll weld up ok. I have other cases but these have been honed and fit the high comp pistons, so i'll stick with these if possible.
I was going to gasflow some spare heads and fit the oversize inlet valves I've had sitting around for ages anyway, but now instead of just pulling both heads off it'll be an engine out jobbie.

TBH it's pissed me off a bit; I was expecting a pinhole in a pipe, or at worse a rad leak, so I'll sulk for a week or two before getting stuck in.
Next weekend I'll pointedly ignore the Storm and fix the CB600 that's waiting for me to graft a Hornet radiator onto it- that's not really straightforward as none of the fan or rad mounting holes line up but I'll make up some brackets and get that bike on the road for the commute.

Still, the Storm'll sit nicely on the hoist in the new conservatory, kneeling on the heated floor will be nice at least.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Bugger !that sucks or blows tony !
I'll get that tool back to you end of next week .

Today I found my Coolant leak and fitted the +4 ignition advancer and swapped the clutch cover as it had a pin hole in it and was leaking .
All ready for the Dyno now
