Ccts done

Post by artee »

Ccts done.
A lot of help from Carl Allsop.
A few teething problems due to my poor rebuilding skill.
Put two washers under a cam cover bolt and missed it from another. Oil everywhere.
Sort that problem, then I get a coolant leak. Turned out to be a pipe to the front carb was split.
Anyhoo... all problems seem sorted. Just need to clean up the oil from the bike.
Then its playtime..

Good job! Manual CCTs are such a good idea. I contacted a guy in Florida about a non-running VTR (yes, I am a glutton for punishment) that had a CCT fail. It sounds like it took a valve and possibly the head with it.
