to any new members thinking about coming to Yorkshire / wales / Devon / Scotland meets.................. please be aware that the sheep, although plentiful in all these venues, they are optional
but when it gets cold in your tent, it always helps to have another warm body in there...................... although I have now found that the electric fan heater in Flatty's blue palace is more effective and less embarrassing in the morning

Re: Op Storm Testimonial thread
I met all this lot on the first Wales trip organised by geodude(George) and I was hooked, I had been on rides with younger guys on superbikes and there was no regard for the next rider(one for one and none for all), and was worried about going all that way and meeting another group of nobs, but cause we have banter on here, I had an idea that it would be okay and it was.
I feel that I have met life long friends on these rides, and fell that I can ask a favor of everyone of them, i have also met friends that we have lost and cause of the close family group bond we have it was a great loss to us all, but also brings us closer together and shows you don't need to see someone everyday to create life long friends.
I now try to make every trip for these, if not on the Storm I will beg, borrow or steal a bike to get there for the fun, follocks and laughs we have becuase everytime we meet, I take away alot of fun memories and look to carry on long into the futrure making more fun memories.
that's my bit said...

Nice one Mick
Another line of thought that might be worth posting in here is the following:
What if some of you think this Forum is a bit Cliquey, in that there seems to be a "core group" who are all mates and act like its their club, which if you try to join in you might be excluded......... and this is shame, especially if it puts you off coming out on a run.
the reason it is a shame is, that camaraderie which might look like a clique from the outside, is the instant side effect of any of these individuals [who until that point were shy strangers on the internet] turning up at only 1 of the meets. when you get there you realise that it is very inclusive, everyone is welcome and everyone has one or 2 things in common. after 1 day, you all of a sudden realise that you are part of the core group and there was no risk of being excluded, you just had to join in.
hope that makes sense? And this is coming from someone who is a committed introvert and has the social skills of a wasp
