And stop using those worthless piece of sh1t disc locks which would take a pro 30 secs to break and remove with the right can of spray and a hammer. All they do is make you feel better they don't stop bikes getting nicked.

Oh and to top it off you might do a Mr Tankslapper one day or try wheeling around.

Carl, the bike is stored out front. The people around my area are thick as sh1t and most aren't worth their weight in tap water. I need a disc lock anyway for when I ride to work, nowhere for me to chain the bike too and it's a PITA to move my chain anywhere. I will take any extra security I can, that's 30 seconds I can grab a bread knife and do to the Hippo what should have been done at their birth.

It's also worth pointing out that as a 20 year old, my sole purpose in life is lining the pockets of insurance companies who think I only own a bike to pull 12 o'clock wheelies and ride the streets thinking I'm Marc Marquez. The disc lock brings down my insurance, which doubled when I moved here because of no longer storing it in a garage. If it lowers my insurance then hell, it's worth using. I also get the advantage of not being owed sh1t by employers because of my age, regardless of any complexities in my job or anything. The fact I can even afford to own the bike I lust after so is a bloody miracle, when everything out there is so set against young people

Now that does make it worth it. Just don't forget it's fitted when you go to wheel the bike around or ride off :eek2 Heck... if it bring my insurance down I might tell them I have one.

I use a reminder cable and both it and the disc lock are bright green, they're hard to not notice. You have to get an insurance approved one, not all disc locks do it. As you said, some are cheap sh1t that can be removed in 30 seconds.. If you actually spend money they can be deceng
