help and advice

Post by gabi81 »

I've changed my calipers and discs but the left side won't go on as it should and its catching on the disc
If I pull on the wheel it spins freely but as I let go it catches again...what I cant figure out is why one side is ok the other isn't
Any suggestions are welcome thank you

Loosen the pinch bolts of the left hand leg then bounce the front end a few times to settle it in, do this with the caliper removed, then put it back on and see if it's better, if so then tighten the pinch bolts. If you tighten them first then when you do the nut up it can pull the fork leg in.

have you put the wheel on the right way round ? best check the spoke direction against the rear wheel to be sure

are you sure the discs are the correct ones ?
is the spindle fitted right ?
try loosening the spindle and lower pinch bolts then fit the callipers .

Aren't the spacers asymmetrical on the stock front end? Have you got them in the correct sides?

I've changed my calipers and discs
Are the disks on the correct side as they are specific to each side and have rotation marks on.

or even this...
