Front engine hanger bolt stuck

Post by jonny5 »

Hi. I've just joined this forum and hope someone can help

I have recently purchased some R & G crash protectors which come with a new front engine bolt/bar.
The problem is the existing bolt is stuck fast, have tried soaking it will gas plus/wd 40, and a big hammer and punch but it wont shift.
Someone has told me to belt the crap out of it more, but im concerned that i may damage the engine or frame.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Heat is definitely your friend, try getting the motor nice and hot then give it some proper walloping with a big hammer and punch.
If not then it's time for serious heat, like oxyacetlene or oxy propane, without melting ally of course
