No just real men here as we add a bit of trials to the ride just to keep from getting bored.......

Alternator cover gasket changed (oil leak cured) Oil and filter changed
Carbs off, pilot jets swapped, 1x washer removed front & back needle as things were running
a bit rich, all put back together, quick test run and layby tune up,
and then back and gave the bike a wash
Chain checked and lubed

This is never ending !!

Got the brake calipers, repainted and lacquered fork legs all back on. Renewed the rear brake and clutch fluids. New back tyre fitted, then yesterday got the bike mot'd

Had a great 70 mile run out this aft, from Ashton out to Huddersfield then out to Ripponden and back via Hollingworth lake.
Averaged 39mpg too which is the most I've ever achieved.
Also took the helmet cam and got some good views.
On the down side I've managed to ground out the new bellypan somehow, bugger.

Fitted my pilot power rear tyre on the bike ( it's 6 years old ) and god it's fun drifting the butt around the round abouts :-)
No good in wet or cold condition ls but on days like this great fun

Today I embarked on some front suspension modifications. I visited my local friendly suspension expert (Norm Cobb, Suspension Tech) and acquired some high flow rebound and compression pistons to replace the very restrictive HMAS pistons that Honda provides. You can see the difference in the port size below, I suspect the new pistons have come out of a Suzuki as they look a lot like what was in my RF900.



I have re-shimmed these along typical RaceTech lines (if anyone want's some Racetech installation guides let me know), and have ordered up some 0.85kg/mm springs to go with them.

As it stands, I think I'll leave the shock alone, it seems to have a good spring rate to me, and I'm only running it on a pretty light damping setting so it has plenty more to give.
