Cct change - bottom rad bolts

Post by BrianC »

Just on with this job.

The instructions talk about undoing the bottom securing bolt for each radiator -,as these are just where corrosion sets in, should I be worried they might shear off through corrosion?!?

i never touched these i only undone the oil cooler this allows enough room to take the cover you may want to undo the right radiator to get a better view but can be done with out this

The rads don't have a bottom securing bolt.... only a bracket that attaches from the cylinder head and clips onto the lug at the bottom of the rad. And yes these will need to be moved out of the way otherwise when you go to lower the oil cooler the metal oil lines catch on the brackets and wont allow the oil cooler to drop fully.
