There was a pretty long discussion a few weeks ago re the torque settings for the front sprocket and the bolts fastening the rear sprocket to the carrier.
As I recall there was some doubt about the values in Mr Haynes book - did we ever get a clear answer as to these torque settings?

rear sprocket nuts tq'ed are 108 nm, that is what both my OEM printed in 1998 Service manual states, and what the current issue OEM Honda Service manual states. That tq spec also falls in the standard for that size and grade fastener, so no reason to believe the factory service manual spec is wrong.
front sprocket bolt is tq'ed to 54 nm that is what both my OEM printed in 1998 Service manual states, and what the current issue OEM Honda Service manual states. That tq spec also falls in the standard for that size and grade fastener, so no reason to believe the factory service manual spec is wrong.
I've checked the dealer Tech bulletins for this bike, no Tech updates reference TQ specs for these two items.
