Is that not in gear ?

With it in gear there should be a bit of movement in & out but no movement on rotation.

+ you need to clean your hands...

You need some sky hooks.

I used an old Imperial socket that happened too fit. All credit goes to Al though for the solution.

Sprocket looks hooked and worm to me, how many miles has the bike done ?, that's an original sprocket, no one replaces with an original one.

29k i'll take a close up picture today, maybe i'm a spazz, but they don't seem hooked, not compared to some that I've seen, I need to count the teeth, to see what the gearing is.
if it's shagged i'll be contacting mr mac or mr mon for parts.....
