UK/US VTR Project
This is my project to see what i could do with the left over bits from Chris's US/UK VTR project.
I thought i would test the tyres by fitting them to my Storm (Frank) for a work out.

I guess i will replace them then. The rear is a bit low on tread

I approve of the use of this used tire.

If a job is worth doing, its worth doing correctly.

Re: UK/US VTR Project
failed on
integrated led indicator / back light even though it has outboard too
no rear reflector
rear disk is about 3 mm in places
advisory on
slight wheel misalignment
slight were on front disk
mot work done already
work done during build
complete strip and de-grease
front wheel bearings
front pads
new bearing in suspension linkage
new tyres
oil,oil filter and air filter
new clutch and brake fluid
fresh coolant
manual CCTs fitted
valve clearances checked and ok
The bike had 13k on the last mot but it has now had an engine from Chris's US storm and clocks with 58k on them.
However, i cannot verify the mileage of the engine. But it sounds right, no knocks and rattles, the gear change is smooth. It is really really crisp on the throttle, much more so than my standard franlenstorm
I will ride the bike until i get the log book and then it will be up for sale as i have just taken ownership of another storm than needs my attention

it will be sold with a 2 into 1 exhaust system that is loud. This high level cans where fitted for MOT reasons

Ah, yes. It won't deafen MOT testers of restricted growth.StuartWags wrote:it will be sold with a 2 into 1 exhaust system that is loud. This high level cans where fitted for MOT reasons
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

no .......will deafen anyone with ears, expectorant mothers water will brake, children will start wetting the bed again, old people will faint (even the deaf ones), car alarms will explode..... i mean that sort of loud
Re: UK/US VTR Project
Good, that's the sort of cans you need.

Re: UK/US VTR Project
Good job well done I'd say.
That's a rare coloured VTR to put back out there. Looks great.

I like loud cans. As far as i'm concerned, they're a safety feature to deal with 'hard of seeing' car drivers. The louder they are, the safer I am.
