Selling my 2000 VTR (sad face)

Post by Bleh »

Unfortunately, I have decided to advertised my VTR which has become my favorite bike ever owned along with my mk1 TDM:
This is a very reluctant ad and in many respects, I hope there's no interest. But the truth is, even though I'm in the position where I don't need to sell it, I'm not getting enough of a chance to ride it properly and there's a few mini projects in the garden I would like to complete over the coming weeks, and my finances aren't so healthy that I'm in the position to just get them done.

So I'm essentially trying to trade the storm for completion of my garden projects... Not a fair trade in my opinion, but neither is stealing the materials I need!

It's only advertised locally on the one site. Link below;

UPDATED ADVERT WITH NEW LINK BELOW (updated) 12/06/15

I'm sorry to hear you're thinking about selling your Storm Bleh, but I can see why you are considering it.

Thanks bud. Been so busy these past few months with moving house (hence now garden projects) and trying to further my education, the storm is being abused by not being used.

Took it for MOT yesterday and upon having the pass paper, I noticed that I had only covered 400 miles since its last MOT. That's just not fair :problem:

But... I do have most bits of a CBR here to rebuild so can buzz about on that when needs be over next winter and will most definitely, 100%'ly, be getting another storm in some shape or form (maybe an SP :shifty: )

I hope this does not mean we are going to loose you. It would be nice to know you shall still be keeping a quite eye on things from time time. You input here is very much appreciated. You don't post often but what you do post is quality and gets the old brain ticking.

Have you seen the price of SP's these days 8O GLWS :thumbup:

I still keep an eye from time to time just not as much time to devise posts as I would like (and quite often enjoy).

This is not just forum speak as at the end of the day, all I need do is not log on again and peoples opinions would never reach me so to say anything other would be pointless... But I am sold on storms. You see my other ads, i.e. Freeads post, and it's quite blunt. Basically says that I don't want to sell and won't take a penny less (which may already be a penny to much for some people tastes) and hope there's no interest.

But this garden... As well as being able to pull a weight retaining wall apart wit my bare hands which I have to fix, I'm desperate to build an adventure play area for my kids to enjoy. My logic is that I can replace the bike next year, the year later etc etc, but my oldest will be a year older and may not enjoy such a thing then. Can always replace the bike, can't go back in time though!!!

The SP1's are holding ridiculous money I know, but aren't they just so pretty? I think it has enough character to be classed in the same category as the MV F4, and they are sexy :plainsmile

There is no better reason to sell than that. You have to grab the moments while you can and make the most of it. Kids grow up too fast these days. Respect to you. It's a nice thing to hear, someone putting their kids first. Too many children these days don't have the chance to be children if you know what I mean. Innocence is a wonderful thing and it puts a smile on ones face. :plainsmile

Wanna buy a Storm? :thumbup:

If you see the ad, one of the pictures show the bike as it was and as it is. You don't do that unless you like the bike... At least, you'll never make any profit doing it! I'm watering the money tree daily but it's just not growing quick enough :eh:
