Won't Start - Battery Fault?

Post by Mav617 »

Hi all,

My TRX has been off road for 8 months. The battery has been on a trickle charger (off and on) and is showing charged. However, trying to start the bike and there's just a buzzing sound from the ECU area. Think it's a short/connection fault or could it be the battery? Putting the flashers on they are weak and the neutral light dims. Lifting the side stand, and with the clutch pulled in, it tries to crank, albeit very poorly.
I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!

Try it with jump leads from another battery, if its better its your battery.Maybe it just needs a good proper charge?

Cheers mate, replaced the battery with a Motobatt job and she started up first touch of the button, chuffed as mintballs!
