Quick HISS question!

Post by Neitus »

Hey guys,
I own a 1998 firestorm and was wondering if it would be possible to buy / use a HISS system from a newer storm and fit it to my storm?
Would come in handy :P

Cheers.

Only if you change...The lock set, the loom, the ECU & possibly the top yoke as well (not sure if the yokes are different to accomodate the hiss bit...)

By the time you've done that you may have spent enough to have bought an F2 anyway...

If your asking for the 'extra' security it offers why not just fit an alarm, it'll do the same thing anyway...

You would probably need to upgrade the ECU for compatibility for starters. Then the wiring looms may be different. I suppose if you are comfortable with electrics it would be possible, if not then you may end up with a shed load of electrical gremlins.

as mac said, plus the top yoke as it has holes fro the hiss receiver to be mounted, you would probably need a late model dash, because if you change the wiring loom, the old dash will not fit.
then you'd need a late model temp switch for the dash, it just ain't worth it
HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!
