I have a Dyno print out from our Dyno day , can't remember the members bike but it didn't have that dip at 5k and with spot on afr

What is funny to me is that I am trying to be as nice as possible through all this but really.......

At this point I like to help you guys out but want you to find the answer yourself by doing enough of your own work to know what question(s) to ask.

As for the new guy that is trying out all kinds of options, I actually respect that he is really trying but it is annoying when trying to talk with him as he really doesn't appear to want to even discuss things, just he has the right way.
Though I am still waiting to hear an answer about Rogers tuning ability.
I do see some possible missed, lets call them "issues', with the XL to VTR project which could be leading to the tuning issues.
Though I guess I'm too nice for my own good as it is stuff that can be easily overlooked and instead of just sitting back I will try one last time.
My question would be what exhaust and airbox are being run?
If he has grafted VTR bits on, then no worries. If XL bits are being used, then they are tuned for cams that make max power 1K RPM lower and I wonder what kind of issues that mis match might cause?

Don't know if you missed it but the other tip for you to try is up the rear needle differential by 0.5mm (or 1mm) total as some stg1 engines like that

yes, rear raised by 0,5mm was what tuner found to be good setup, independently on anything written on forums, so I will stay with that. Lloydie: I meant this one, quite similar but higher peak power. And with proper AFR ...
Though running rich can affect spark effectivity by the time.

Setting was changed back to FP needles, but with two slide holes. Front needle on the top, rear one slot down, pilot screws roughly by idle drop procedure.
Seems this was last journey to carbs, though 4-5k is still not the strongest part. But it is.much better than before. Pilot screws need adjustment, but I really don't know which way, test with choke didn't told me.
I will do another dyno run hopefully through july, together with final pilot screws adjustments from afr reading for each cylinder. Looking forward to see the result.

Good to hear you are making progress.
I'm still waiting on slides but will let you know if I find anything else, due to the exhaust, once I get them fitted.
I am running different needles, though I am looking into that right now
4K-5K is on the needles but the pilot circuit still has a lot of affect on that range.
You could try opening the pilots a little to see what happens before you head to the dyno.

Another thought, what ECU are you running?
If it is the stock one, you might not have enough advance through that part of the rev range.
While an advancer might help, if running the stock ECU, it would hurt you are the revs climb as you already have a bit too much advance for a STG1 engine up there
