Out on the Zed today...

Post by firestorm996 »

Hi all

Been out on the zed this weekend for the first time since it was repaired (therefore first time since my highside)

Took it pretty easy and have done about 60 miles yesterday and again today, been up over the to Hoghton Tower then over the moors roads (singletrack so ya gotta be careful) to Rivington for a hot choc. Had a hoot but without going ballistic as I'm a bit rusty from winter.

Some piccies 'ere...

Nah....rode it all the way!!

Had to avoid a few puddles though...

Bear in mind it's just had all the bodywork replaced and was valeted at the repair shop, so it's more-or-less as new at the minute and I want to keep it that way!

Hiya Twintin

It was on when I got it but I'm 99% sure it's the kawasaki screen. Haven't seen the Ermax. I've rode the bike without the screen and with it, doesn't make a massive difference but it least it looks good. :)

Post us some pictures of your Zed mate.

Thanks for the nice comments folks, I'm pretty chuffed with it since the rebuild. :)

Looks nice, that Zed. I'm coming to the conclusion that my Storm will have high bars and that sort of look before too long!

Went out yesterday afternoon, just across country to Gt Yarmouth for a burble down the seafront, then blew away some hothatches on the way back home.

First time that everything has been "together" on the Storm for a while now, but she is pulling like a train now and the lowered gearing makes her so much more tractable.

Bought a VFR800 tank off ebay for £25 so I'm going to see if I can get it fitted like the SuperHawk forum guy did.

Sounds like you were having fun Paul :!:

I can't wait for some decent weather so I can have a blast on my bike, it's been so cold down here just lately (a biting bitter easterly wind) so I haven't had the incentive to go out, but I'm itching too now :!:

I'd be interested to hear how you get on with the VFR800 tank conversion

Chris.
