Lincolnshire VTR
Lincolnshire VTR
Hi, new to the forum after a fair while browsing the posts. Bought my 2nd VTR late last year, 2001 Y reg with a plan to keep standard until the ride back and my wrists and neck didn't feel the same as as when riding the 1st VTR back in 03. I guess this is an age thing so looking for ways to improve this. Any suggestions on cheap, quick fixes before major mods would be appreciated. I have read various posts from Genmar raisers to different bars & cutting fairings to re-clamping the bars??? For the uninitiated and non mechanically minded its a wee bit confusing, any thoughts with the 'keep it simple stupid' approach? Cheers.

hello and welcome.
your wrists and back questions will ring true with a few of us old feckers.
I tried raising the std bars [same effect as genmar] and that wasn't much better, then I went to flat bars and although I hear many people saying good things about VFR bars I think the flat bars are perfect with this bike.
comfort, control, and no reduction in sporty riding potential
