Aluminium Hugger

These two pictures show why I wanted to make the new hugger. The original one (on the right) is the wrong shape and has been rubbed through by the tyre. The chainguard is fully open on the inside so all of the road sh*t from the tyre is dumped straight onto the chain, and similarly any excess chail lubricant could be flicked onto the tyre.
The new hugger has a 'U' section chainguard as per the original 'Storm unit.

After the first smooth & polish:

It just needs some very small reshaping, a little bit of welding and another good polish!

Took it for a ride this afternoon, and it looks sooooooperb out in the sunlight!

I was toying with the idea of cutting the 'VTR' logo into the sides, but was too desperate to start using the bike again.
