Let there be light. Or, maybe not.

Post by TheGingerBeardMan »

This was told to me today, by an Englishman up on holiday (we were talking about Scotsmen being tight-fisted with everything)

Q: How many Scotsmen does it take to change a light-bulb?

A: Och awa wi' ye man! - it's nae that dark.....

Well, I liked it. And even laughed out loud at his attempt at a Scottish accent when it came to the punchline. Getting me to laugh at 'anything' is a rare thing. In fact, as a Scotsman, you could say I was too tight to even part with my happiness.
If it ain't broken...f*ck about with it until it is.

It's gonna be close that's fer sure.

I think the Japs may win it tho - as they managed to beat the South Afrikans (Springboks), and that takes some doing.

Despite Scotland thrashing Japan a few times before (100-8) and in 2013: 42-17, I think there's gonna be a lot of unhappy, milky white, ginger haired, knobbly kneed men crying into their beers tomorrow.

I don't have a TV licence (refuse) so won't be watching it when it kicks off at 2.30pm tomorrow. But, I'll know who DOES win by the amount of noise outside me front door. (25 yards from a pub).

A FRIGHTENING THOUGHT!

I now have a vision of a little Japanese rugby player running under a Scots player. Oriental looks up kilt....see's TWO rugby shaped balls....grabs them....and then tries to run to the line to score a try, dragging the poor Scots guy 100 yards along on his back.

From a Japanese point of view, (wot with the "half closed eyes" n' all), I suppose testicles and rugby balls look very similar when yer all fired up on the pitch, and frantically looking around for a weird shaped ball to grab and run with...

(Didn't want to say "squinty" **)

(**oops, I just did).
