I bought a series 3 BM (not that type) about 2 years ago, 52 plate, the thing I love about my BM,
It drives like new (its smoother and nicer to drive than the works 1 year old focus)
Its solid, and everything still works on it (ie electrics are all good)
115k. If I could afford another I would !!!

I don't really think build quality is much different on both cars, sometimes you buy a crapper no matter what the badge says.

One thing I will say about Vauxhalls they always feel like they are behind in terms of looks and they do rattle a lot, they feel really cheap as well.

I have had a few Fords and Vauxhalls, for me its Ford all the way, much better cars in my opinion, in the 90's they were pretty much the same, but Ford has come a long way and are a superior car to Vauxhall.
