heat the tube in hot water and push over the nipple, and allow to cool. Pull it off and generally it will then just push on perfectly each time.

If you fit a small bolt in the bottom so that its really tight, i use the hot water here too. ( not the thread bit but the shank) make a small 1/2 slit with a stanley knife to one side, thats act great as a non return valve to to assist bleeding. Just keep it below the level of the fluid in the bottle sat on the floor.

B and Q sell tubing too.

You have to get the air out off the M/C first though. It then an easier job. If you have ever owned a Kwak you will know what i mean. There buggers to bleed.
missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!

thanks gents, but I want to order the tubing online, hence the internal diameter question, i'm also bleeding PFM calipers which have 2 bleed nipples at the lowest part of the caliper, so the technique is slightly different. i'll use the hot water idea tho
so back to the original question, what's the I.D of the tubing?

The best thing for this that I have found is silicone surgical tubing with around a 6mm ID

It slips easily over the bleed nipple and grips tightly until you remove it.

No fuss no muss... easy as can be
