Re: Project Blue Belle
I could just do that with a grinder couldn't I? It would look better to be fair. May well do that. Thanks mate.
If you don't try you never know if you can do it.
Re: Project Blue Belle
Oh yeah just a grinder with a sanding disc ( I think I used one of the overlapped flappy sandpaper things... lol)
It only takes a couple of mins & imo looks pretty sweet.

CBR 600 f4i master cylinder turned up today so it has been fitted.

Ignore the blue lever. It will be a black ASV next month.

Thanks mate doing what I can within my limits! Only wish the missus was as keen to see the finished article! She was behind me up until recently (even helped me get it back into the house) but then I officially became obsessed and she's not so happy about it anymore!

Re: Project Blue Belle
Today I decided to make the frame black. I took the easiest option in the hope to have it powdercoated next year.
I used hammerite smooth satin black.

The blue lever is going!

It seems to have turned out fine. Not an amazing job as its aerosol and was awkward as f**k

Thanks fellas
Wet paint can be deceiving so I'll see how it looks in the morning. Might even stick fairing on temporarily

Re: Project Blue Belle

I stuck the brand new ASV lever on the clutch and think it is possibly the best 25quid I've spent
It would also seem the frame has turned out nicely after a few days drying. Still needs a couple of weeks at least I think
***still looking for a shortly brake lever BRC520-SK*** I dont expect to pay 25 quid for it but less than the retail is always nice ;)

Asv levers are some of the best, so much better feel compared to standard. and much more adjustability. the frame paint will take several weeks to properly harden, the time of year doesn't help, get that central heating cranked up....
