5 mods completed since Xmas month:
- CREE front bubs
- VTrec levers
- Top yoke socket to hold waterproof case, for phone (as satnav), spare GoPro batteries, keys, cash etc...
- Twin USB socket under instrument panel to power phone
- Removed standard horn and installed single snail 120dB one between rear subframe and fairing panel
I go the idea of the CREE LED bulbs after seeing Lloydie's big black bird & thought I could raise my "be safe, be seen" for a couple of quid.
They're linked to the pilot light socket, installed within the air ducts:
Does mean I now have 3 types of white light (pilot using LED) but hey.
The VTrec levers were only £57 for the pair from Germany.
They look really smart, well made, feel nice (even thought they're shorties, reach adjustment works well - can't wait to get out and try them on the road), the anodised finish should hopefully last.
The 30g saved means I can now eat more pies without feeling my Storm will lose power
(for next cheap tart-ups I'm thinking of red/black bar ends to compliment the new levers; black alloy bolts on petrol cap; red anodised oil cap)
Leaving only 2 main desires now: to have front forks "Rogered" and maybe something done to rear shock (although mine in 1998 original, it's nice and soft and works "ok")...
Another Yellow tart(ed up)
Re: Another Yellow tart(ed up)
You wont be able to eat many pies if all you have saved is 30g
Looks like you've done some good work
