islandstorm wrote:Hi all. As you can see from the thread tittle I am new to motorcycling having passed my test in Sept 15. Being an "older" rider I went to the VTR1000 and am the owner of a Yellow (the fastest so I'm told lol) VTR Firestorm (1998) running a private VTR plate!. I live in Hampshire, Hayling Island and am out most weekends.
Hope to maybe meet up with others as the weather improves through spring

Happy biking and stay safe! :P :P :P :P :P

Welcome .

I think the VTR is the perfect beginner motorcycle. It has lots of torque so you will avoid embarrassing stalls. It is narrow, easy to ride and very forgiving. You will not outgrow its performance any time soon. You can actually ride it within your comfort zone if you can avoid twisting its ear! Welcome to VTRing!

BTW, I love yellow.
