Aftermarket clutch slave cylinder
Aftermarket clutch slave cylinder
Anyway installed an aftermarket slave cylinder? I have been given an 'STM' clutch slave cylinder for a CBR1000RR. Apparently the slave cylinder for the CBR also fits the SP1/SP2, and others. The bolt pattern is the same as the Firestorm, but more concerned about the piston stroke being too long or short.

Re: Aftermarket clutch slave cylinder
It'll be fine.
All you need to worry about are the mounting positions, and within reason the slave piston diameter will be OK. I'd say you need to be within a couple of mm diameter and you shouldn't have any problems.
Having said that, there's no performance advantage, so changing it would do just for the bling factor.
The std one works fine and rarely fails, replacements are chip cheap.
Some of the Ducati and Aprilia ones are not much use as standard and a replacement one lasts longer or works better, but ours are fine.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
